About Bloomington Community Radio

Bloomington Community Radio, Incorporated was founded in 1975 by a group of individuals who saw a need for community radio in the Bloomington area. WFHB finally made it to the airwaves in 1993.

Mission: WFHB exists to provide a neutral community forum for the exchange and discussion of ideas and issues, and to celebrate and increase the local cultural diversity.

Today, WFHB Community Radio operates with the support of over 200 volunteers and a small paid staff creating music and news programming for all of south central Indiana.

WFHB is a member of the Public Radio Satellite System (PRSS), Public Radio International (PRI), the Development Exchange Inc. (DEI) and the National Federation of Community Broadcasters (NFCB).

WFHB is a 501c3 non-profit organization that broadcasts non-commercial content at 91.3 & 98.1 FM. The station receives most of its support from listening members and business underwriters. For more information about WFHB, feel free to email us at manager AT wfhb dot org.
