WFHB holds Brown County Hour fundraiser

WFHB Community Radio is developing the "Brown County Hour", a radio show about and for Brown County, produced by the residents and businesses of Brown County, and to be aired on WFHB.The Brown County Economic Development Commission has offered a grant in the amount of $1,300 for equipment needed to produce the program.  A match of $1,300 is needed by the end of the year to receive this grant.A fundraising celebration is scheduled for Friday, December 18th at Mike's Dance Barn, just west of Nashville on SR46, beginning at 6 p.m., to try to raise the matching funds. The fundraiser will consist of live music and an open dance floor, Brown County storytelling and skits, a silent auction, and a "white elephant" sale.Bands will include The Harris Sisters and White Lightning Boys, Fire in the Dawn, Smooth Country, Dave and Joenna Woodsmall, and some surprise appearances. Advanced tickets are just $8 and will be on sale at Calzone Jones, Muddy Boots, the Brown County CVB, Rachel's Cafe and Mike’s Dance Barn.Tickets at the door will be $10 ($9 if you bring wrapped gift for white elephant sale).
