Be Neighborly!

The summer theme of Bloomington is “Be Neighborly,” and what better way to do so than coming out to the 5th Annual Block Party Friday July 25, from 5:30-12 midnight at The Waldron?

The Block Party is family friendly and will feature a variety of activities and entertainment. Children can enjoy interactive games and activities such as puppet pets and building with popsicle sticks. The Wonderlab will also provide kids with engaging science experiments that raise the question, “Do you really know the difference between a liquid and solid?”

There will be live music inside and outside of the Waldron with acts like Kid Kazooey and the Ballroom Ralstabouts, Busman’s Holiday, and Dr. Music’s Little Band project. The music stages are sponsored by Rhino’s Youth Center and WFHB.

Radio Stew on the Fly

Before heading off and taking my heathen bum to rural, pastoral New York for a few weeks, I've been given the go-ahead to take over the airwaves tonight from 1-3:00 AM or so right here on Community Radio WFHB. It'll be a temporary farewell radio blow-out which really means that it's just another excuse for me to provide the musical soundtrack to whatever it is that you're doing tonight so, if you dare, tune in and I promise to make it as interesting as I legally can. But it won't be anything that I do, really. It's all about the music.

To the Pouring Rain

In light of recent meteorological events, tonight's Randy Bone Show will feature music having to do with rain and flooding.  This is an exceedingly rare event in Indiana history because Randy has actually sort of planned his show out this time.

If there has ever been a sign of the impending Apocalypse, this is surely it.

So stack your radio up high on a shelf where the water can't get to it and electrocute you, and join in the fracas tonight at midnight.
