Youth Radio

Welcome to WFHB Youth Radio!

Youth Radio is a program dedicated to giving a voice to anyone between the ages of 13 and 20 in the WFHB listening area. Participants can learn how to be a live, on air DJ. They can also learn how to report the news, learn audio engineering and post production, as well as come up with ideas for their own pre-recorded shows that air right here on WFHB.

History

WFHB Youth Radio started not long after the station itself. The program began in 1995 under the direction of Sarah Flint. Since then, the program has expanded into numerous places, notably taking up residence at Rhino’s All Ages Club for a significant period of time until its closing in 2019. In it’s nearly 30 years of existence Youth Radio has fostered multiple generations of community members, musicians, educators and yes, DJ’s during the most developmental parts of their life.
