Director of the groundbreaking documentary film “Two Spirit” Lydia Nibley joins Helen and Sean to discuss the film that relates the story of the murder of Fred Martinez and provides updates about the powerful national reception it is receiving. The world premiere will be held at the Starz Denver Film Festival on November 21 to include participation by the Matthew Shepard Foundation, Two-Spirit Society of Denver and PFLAG of Colorado. Background music for the film was contributed by rock icon and activist Patti Smith and the Smithsonian Institute will hold several screenings and discussions in both NYC and Washington in 2010. The 2010 Creating Change Conference will also hold a focal screening and discussion of the film in Dallas in February. bOUT2 is a spinoff podcast of bloomingOUT, Indiana's only out, loud, and proud radio show, a public affairs program dedicated to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community.
