bOUT2: News & Views - October 12, 2009

Indiana University PhD student, associate instructor in the Department of Applied Health Science and project coordinator with the Center for Sexual Health Promotion Phillip Schnarrs discusses his research of discrimination related to health issues. Previous research has evidenced a significant connection between health disparities as they intersect with sexual orientation and gender and similar differentials reflected in ethnic populations where they are in the cultural minority. Schnarrs' research results will be applicable to the development of educational programs in addressing problematic social/health movements and easing the frequency of such crises as the HIV/AIDS pandemic. bOUT2 is a spinoff podcast of bloomingOUT, Indiana's only out, loud, and proud radio show, a public affairs program dedicated to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer community. Each week on bOUT2 we deconstruct the week's top queer news and talk with guests you didn't hear in this week's bloomingOUT.
