Two local residents reflect on the impact of a landmark civil rights case on their own lives. Sophia Travis and Eric Love are both children of interracial marriages, so for them the 1967 Supreme Court case Loving v. Virginia is personal. This decision legalized interracial marriage and ended all race-based legal restrictions on marriage in the United States. Loving Day celebrations commemorate the anniversary of Loving v. Virginia.
