Voices in the Street - Influenza A: Health Threat or Hype?

H1N1 flu is now a global pandemic. Here in Monroe County we’ve received two shipments of H1N1 vaccine, and it’s being carefully metered out to target groups like pregnant women, children, and health care workers. The Monroe County Health Department says it will take six to eight weeks to vaccinate everyone in the target groups before offering it to the general population. Five people have died from H1N1 in Indiana, and the media is blaring all sorts of sensational scare stories. So what do you think Bloomington? Are you worried about the flu outbreak?
